One Sassy Lady

Kim at Simply Faries has spurred me on to use one of my most popular stamps. I liked what she did so much that I had to have a go as well. This is my effort.

Click here for the stamp sheet.

As usual I used the Brushables and the Art and Graphic pens from Kuretake to colour the image.

How to customise a die cut flower.

I have random thoughts now and then and I suddenly thought of how to use the die cut flower heads and the brushable pens that I have on the Craft Fairy site to bring a bit of excitement into my cards.

So this is what we do

Take the plain white die cut hibiscus flower heads. See below.

At the moment they are fairly boring but I am going to transform them.

Step one:

Colour the flower with the paler of your chosen brushables.

Step two:
The deeper tone is used to brush out from the centre.

Step three:
The deepest of your chosen colours is used to flick the colour out from the centre and it is kept shorter than the other two colours.

Step four:
Use a silver pen to add strokes to the centre and edges of the flower.

Step five:

Stick the centre to the flower. You can curl the petals if you wish.

Stained Glass Stamps

I know that I've bought these stamps to sell but I couldn't resist using this stained glass sheet to start making cards. Well it is an example so I have justified it to myself. You will need
I Brake for Stamps Stained Glass Unmounted Rubber Stamp
Organza ribbon in Light Orchid
White card for the base card and the stamped image
Lilac card for the mount
Zig brushables pen in spring green, cool cucumber,
Zig Art Graphic Pens in colours 60 and 61
Brush H20 pen detailer
Stazon in stone grey
3d foam pads
Bowshaper
These will soon be in stock.

To make the card
Stamp the image onto a piece of white card and leave to dry. With Stazon this is usually pretty quick.
Colour in as seen above by using the pens and diluting with water from the H2o brush. Leave to dry.
Cut out the stamped and coloured image and mount onto lilac card with 3d foam pads.
Stick on to a base card that is 140mm x 140mm.
Use a length of ribbon about 45cm long and using the bowshaper tie a bow in the middle of the ribbon. Wrap around the base card as shown and secure on the inside of the card with white lable.
Your card is finished.

If you want to you can stamp another image and decoupage the card. It will look even better.
